Wine Maker: Bob Pepi "The first vintage of our Marilyn Red Blend has an attractive, brilliant ruby color. The nose has more than ample intensity and very nice complexity, due in large part to the nice marriage of the three varieties, Zinfandel, Syrah and Petite Sirah. Inviting aromas of mature strawberries and dark cherries are complimented by hints of vanilla, caramel, mint and milk chocolate. The flavors follow the aromas with added notes of bright orange zest, purple meat plums and sage. On the palate this wine has good balance and structure with ample weight, integrated tannins and a clean, bright finish."
