About
Owners Hal and Fiona Barnett purchased the 40-acre property on top of Spring Mountain in 1983. The Cabernet vineyard was planted the following year with the first harvest in 1989 yielding 232 cases of Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery has gradually expanded since then and now produces approximately 8,000 total cases. Rattlesnake and Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon wines, including Merlot and Cabernet Franc, remain the focus with total estate production. In addition, the winery produces limited amounts of Pinot Noir (Russian River), Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
